Camera

I use a Canon EOS Rebel T7. Its maximum resolution is 6000x4000 and thats what I like to shoot in (more pixels is better, right?). This is a good beginner camera, it runs about $500 new which is 2/3 the cost of their next best DSLR and around $1000 less than the beloved EOS 90D. Very cheap all things considered, though you do mostly get what you pay for when it comes to features. This is a very simple camera with a lot less going on around the body. Just a handful of buttons and one main dial, perfect for a beginner but may feel a little barebones to a pro. Its kit lens can either be a small but decent 18-55mm IS lens or Canon's notorious 75-300m telephoto that has issues with image clarity and chromatic abberation. I got to experience the latter first hand, and it ruined some otherwise great shots. I have used both lens at different points in time and the smaller of the two was so much better. Were I doing this professionally I would absolutely shell out a couple grand for better hardware, but for recreation, this camera is perfect.

Lenses

I have two lenses, the first being an 18-55mm lens with an image stabilizer and a surprisingly good auto-focus. This is the low zoom kit lens you get when buying a T7.

The second, a 75-300mm telephoto lens. This one is a giant PoS and I am in the process of getting a higher quality replacement.
